The original location of the Agate Pass Cafe is officially closed. Words cannot express how we feel right now. We are caught between the sadness of losing and leaving our funky little building behind, the excitement of our beautiful new location we’re moving into, and for the possibilities of our future. Over the next few weeks we will be moving into and preparing the new location for opening, and we’ll be sure to keep you informed on when that will be happening. Thank you all from the very bottom of our hearts! Your continued support, love and patronage has allowed us to be who we are, and has motivated us to carry on. Thank you for believing in us. We’re proud to have been able to be a place people chose to come to celebrate when great things had happened in their lives, or to come to for comfort when experiencing some of the worst. Community is so unbelievably important, and we’re excited to be able to continue to foster it at our new location. We will do the best we can to make this transition as seamless as possible so we can get back to serving the community as fast as we can. Again, thank you, and we love you. To the staff, you’re all my heroes. Your tireless effort to uphold our standards and continue to push for improvement is so inspiring. You sweat and bled for the restaurant, and are truly the best staff anyone could ever, ever even hope for. Without you, Agate is nothing and never would have been. You deserve all the respect you can be given. I humbly bow to you. I love you all, truly, I do. A special shout out to Marty Bracken and Stacy Grega for creating something truly special, Rachael Clark for opening and closing the original location, and to Susanna Pine for believing in us and keeping us going. So here we go! Goodbye Suquamish, thank you for 10 1/2 years! Bainbridge, we’ll see you very soon. On to the next chapter. Much love to you all, see you again soon.
